Children's curtain ideas please...

Your help would be greatly appreciated please. I have painted our child's room quite a vivid yellow (came out a little brighter than I imagined) and now I'm wondering what colour curtains would look good. I think more yellow would be a mistake. Gingham is lovely but not sure pink would go (for a 3yr old girl)! Does it really matter much in child's room as lots of colour from toys etc?? Not sure what to do painted the room yellow as wanted an alternative to a fully pink room. would love to hear if anyone knows of anywhere I might find curtains that are a bit different from run of the mill in shops. Any ideas please ???

I would stay neutral with yellow walls tbh. Cream, pale blue maybe.

Ds's room is yellow and looks lovely and bright (north facing box room). I bought fun dark blue vehicle accessories (curtains, duvet, lampshade) from childrensrooms.co.uk good value and had loads of different designs. I added blackout linings easily.

my advice is to take a picture on your phone and go to your local home furnishing/interior design shop and see what they suggest - they tend to have a good eye and even if you don't buy from them, it might help you on your search -although ours were very reasonable for made to measure curtains.

we've got yellow walls and beige curtains (lenda from IKEA) then lots of different colour things like bedding, multicolour striped cushions and a blue coloured rug and a few bright pink bits too. is for 2 girls, currently nearly 2 and nearly 6mo.
