John Lewis furniture - will there ever be reductions?

I'm just about to spend a fortune on some John Lewis furniture for our living room. I'm worried that I will suddenly find it all in the sale soon, does that happen in JL?

only usually if being discontinued or as a special purchase (ie different fabric sofa)
