What will you decoupage it with though? Are there images you use?

Ok, thanks for the info.

I have seen some paper I like on the deco patch site.
Think that I will try the cheap table first, paint the legs and then cover the top with deco patch paper with modge podge on the top to make it harder wearing.

Does that sound feasible?

You could try decoupage with ModPodge and fabric. Looks very pretty. Type "mod podge decoupage fabric images" for inspiration. Lots of tutorials out there. Mod podge creates a hard wearing surface that can be wiped down. Enjoy!

I have just done some big letters for DD's room, her name. They look gorgeous, it is quite time consuming though but addictive. If you look at the decopatch website they have quite cheap starter kits of all sorts of things. I think a chest of drawers could look gorgeous but am guessing you would need some hard wearing varnish/ glue over the top.

It can look lovely, I've done some pieces that I'm proud of smile.
Take a look on Pinterest for ideas

I've done it on some photo frames, came out ok - but I think my paper was too thin so a lot of the colour has faded, maybe start on some smaller pieces?

I did them for Christmas and they went down well with the grandparents smile

I really want a little project and I was thinking of decoupage on a set of bedside drawers but I did wonder how much effort/timde it will be and I am worried that it will just look rubbish.

Has anyone done this succesfully? I have a cheapo table I could have a trial run with first.
