Ds1 is 8 1/2 and thinks his bedroom is too babyish he has a point it has jungle animals painted on the walls

Trying to find some nice slightly more grownup not too themey bedding that isn't red white and blue grin Must be 100% cotton.

Ideally I'd like some orange or lime green or similar. Have looked at aspace - I liked the Bicycle duvet set but he wasn't bowled over. hmm Would like something a bit funkier if possible.

In just about to do a redo on one of my boys room. Cowboys are babyish too it seems! I'm hoping to go for lime green, cream/beige and navy blue colour scheme. I'm going for a plain blue bed set from Next as I usually buy 2 sets and it's easier to match in with curtains if it's plain I think

Hi, Ive just done my 9yr old sons bedroom and it looks lovely. He choose the scheme. White walls, with red, black and white skull and crossbones pirate theme, although I made some items so its not so "themey".Duvet cover from next, I made black and white stripey curtains and I made some bunting (he thinks its pirate flags, i havent got any girls and really wanted some bunting!) in spots, stripes and checks. I painted a large skull and crossbones on the wall, design taken from duvet cover. You said you didnt want red but it really does look lovely.

How about a black and white gingham duvet cover with some brightly coloured lime green/pink cushions. Zara had some good cushions a couple of years ago (when I last looked).
