my daughter and I are very stressed because we don't know if her school will take her on in 6th Form to do the course she's applied as she got the required grades in all subjects except Maths which means a resit. Of course there is nobody at the school to help and we have to wait until enrolment day to find out. I'm worried that if the school wont take her we have left it too late to sort anything else out. I'm not sure what to do to help her as she is very upset. Has anyone similar experience and can advise....

I think you should post this in Secondary Education AliceRose. There's a GCSE results thread there or you could start your own thread (I'd give it a more specific title). There are secondary teachers and other parents there who may be able to help-this board is mainly for post-18 education.
