DS2 will be doing this, and probably the BMAT too this year. DH is very keen on him doing a course to give him a good chance of a good mark. But I'm not sure which one would be good. Can anyone offer any help or advice please?

You will find more info on the Student Room website. There is a whole section in the forum on UKCAT. My DS didn't think it was worthwhile found a course and just used a practise book.

Has anyone had any experiences of the below UKCAT course?

Reviews seem decent

Don't have experience of that but ds1 did a 2 day Kaplan course this week for UKCAT (and is doing a BMAT one in October). He thought it was good and useful (he already has a desk full of books which he's been working through). He said they had some good tips and enjoyed it.
Where is your ds interested in applying?

Newcastle is his favourite, but he needs to apply strategically, depending on his ukcat and AS results. He also liked Leicester and Sheffield, and will go to some more open days in the autumn. Which unis is your DS interested in? Best of luck with the ukcat too.

He liked Newcastle too. And Sheffield!
Wants to apply to Oxford, Leeds, Edinburgh and one of those two, but like you waiting on AS results next week and UKCAT score before committing to anything. Also off to see Birmingham in September...

Good luck to your ds

Queenie, has your DS done the ukcat yet? Need to go to bed now, but nervous for results in the morning! DS should have done ok, but you can never tell. He really has set his heart on medicine, so I so hope he gets the results that will set him on the next part of the long journey. Best of luck to your DS too.

no experience of the courses but haven't seen any evidence that they help. The only thing that might be worth the money is interview practise, if the school doesn't offer enough, as that can build confidence.
