A'Level choices

My daughter is thinking about doing a degree in Textiles, her choice of a'levels are Art and Design (Textiles) Drama and English Lit. She needs to put a 4th choice, but does not want to choose an 'academic' subject so at present is thinking about Performance Studies - can anyone advise?? Many thanks

Wht about something else creative, photography maybe that she can use for her portfolio? Or even a BTEC which might mean she can skip art foundation year?

Sorry should say performance sounds too similar to drama to me which she is already doing!

Thanks for that! Will look into both suggestions :)

Most schools are constrained - they are limited by the number of teachers, number of classrooms, number of hours in the day. They find that the best way to organise the timetable is to organise subjects into Blocks so that certain favourite combinations do not clash eg a scientist will have Physics in Block A, Biology in Block B, Chemistry in Block C and Maths in Block D.
So the question is not an open 'what fourth subject to do' but a more limited 'what are the subjects offered in our school's fourth Block'.

FWIW, DS knew which three main subjects he wanted to do but his fourth subject was pretty much chosen because it was the least-worst from the available Block ... but has turned out to be his best exam results so far! Go figure.

Senua where I live the sixth forms are in a consortium, so if two things you want to do are in the same block you, you can attend another local school to take that subject.

This means that no combinations are ruled out, and instead lots of sixth formers spend time in taxis whizzing between schools!

Thanks for your comments :) She'll be going to one of two local 6 Form Colleges and the taster days will help her make her 4th choice - I don't know about the timetable and the specific timetable - I presume she'll find all that out on the taster day too - thanks again :)
