Which bouncer to buy? Advice required!

I thought I would kick start this topic

I am due my first DC in 5 weeks and I would like to buy a bouncer that I can use from birth for around £50. It also has to be in neutral colours as we do not know whether we are having a boy or girl.

Can anyone recommend any makes and also where is the best place to buy them from?

Fisher price papasan

or there's one here second hand and half the price.

Fisher Price Soothing Motions slightly out of budget but again there's a second hand one here for about half the price.

You may have to pay about £8 for a courier though if you aren't nearby.

I think I would pay the extra and go for the soothing motions one. It looks like it lies quite flat and could be used as a moses basket in the very early days. The papasan looks quite upright so not really that practical for a newborn.

We had this one for DD she loved it, it rocks, vibrates(which was good for inducing poo ) and plays a tune/nature sounds. DD is now 1 and we occasionally find her sitting under the stairs in it with the nature sounds turned on.

I would possibly wait until the baby is born if you can. I'm only saying that because we bought a bouncer before DD was born having decided it was cheaper than a swing and she hated it and we ended up buying a swing for her when she was a couple of weeks old which was bliss as it was the only way we could actually put her down.

the Cosatto Goo-Goo Rocka Little Bunni is in a neutral color and has free postage at this siteit is still a little over budjet but will recline and has a washable cover (in my experience washable is a must)

The Chicco Relax and Play and the Cosatto Goo Goo look like they recline quite a bit more than normal bouncers/rockers aswell.

This is meant to be good but obviously quite a bit out of your budget.

I loved the Babybjorn one - has three positions, washable seat, folds down so easy to take in the car, and allows movement without batteries. I would highly recommend it, ds2 loved it and there are some lovely colours. This was about five years ago though so don't know the best place to buy it, John Lewis perhaps.

but haven't seen any reviews anywhere for it, so not sure if it would be too upright for a newborn. It doesn't seem to change position as far as I can see, but I just love it...
Anyone had anything similar who can help me out??

I would highly recommend the Cosatto Goo Goo. We got ours from Kiddicare on special offer about 8 months ago.

DS loved it from the start and still does at 6 months old when he is having some calm time before bed.
