Highchairs and baby seats

cheap imitations of the trip trap?!

Just wondering, given the eye watering cost of the trip trap, whether any of the other brands in the same kind of style are worth considering. The trip trap one is certainly just that little bit more stylish than the baby dan or the mothercare one, but does anyone have any experience of the others and do they function as well?

I don't want to be a cheapskate and then regret it for the next three years because of various niggles, but then again I don't want to spend money on brand name only.

Thanks!

I have two Baby Dans. My two still using them at 4 and 6. I think they were definitely worth getting. However, I didn't use them for infants.

If you're interested, I would definitely go for something cheap and easy to clean for the first 5-14months. ie NOT anything padded (I found padded seats a nightmare to clean eg when the sponge padding inside the vinyl gets soaked in milk).

FOr DC3 I will definitely go for a plastic or wooden, small contained seat, with good straps and its own tray, and then move onto a Baby Dan from about 14 months.
