Hello,

HarperCollins Children's Books are celebrating the publication of Bing: Get Dressed. It's the first in a fabby new picture book series from Ted Dewan celebrating life as a toddler, life with a toddler, and all the ups and downs of everyday life.

In the first Bing picture book, clever Bing has mastered putting on his clothes (with a little help from his constant companion Flop), but he's struggling with the right order. Sound familiar?

To be in with the chance to win a £100 library of children's books and one of 10 Bing goody bags, take a photo of your DS or DD getting things slightly wrong and upload it to this thread, along with a short caption.

Post your pics plus caption before the end of 30 August and we'll then create a carousel of our favourite 10 pics. Each person who makes the shortlist of 10 will receive a Bing goodie bag, including a copy of Bing: Get Dressed.

Author Ted Dewan will then choose a winning photo from the 10 and we'll announce the winner on Friday 6 September. The winner will receive a £100 library of children's books from HarperCollins.

Find out more about Bing at https://www.facebook.com/bingbunny

About the books

Ted Dewan has created a series that focuses on the dynamic between toddler and parent, and that speaks to them both equally, about life as a toddler and life with a toddler. With short, repetitive texts, bold, bright artwork and appealing characters, Bing offers both parent and child an enjoyable reading experience and a simple, reassuring guiding principle - that, whatever happens, it's just a Bing thing, a normal occurrence, and nothing to get upset about.

All entries must be posted by Friday 30 August.

namechanging to post this smile

Following on from our success with baby led weaning, DD decided to try some baby led dressing.

We've had Bing: Get dressed! for years!? DS loved it as a small one and he's 8 now and still won't part with them. We also have Bing: Go Picnic and Bing: Bed time. smile

Will find a funny picture of DS later to add to thread.

This is what Ella (then 3, now nearly 6) picked when she asked if she could choose her own clothes for a change.
Needless to say she wasn't allowed to go to nursery in this outfit!

Name changed for this.

DS (3) got ready for nursery by himself on an extremely hot summers day grin (We never went out like that of course despite his tantrum).

Here in pic 2 DS donned a tie and his dad's old shoes proudly announcing he is a doctor.

"Potty training is pants!"

Ds has two pairs of pants on here... His choice! However one pair is fully round his waist - he completely missed the leg holes.

HorrorCow Mon 05-Aug-13 14:38:52

Hey, who turned out the lights?

She is under there somewhere, I promise!

HorrorCow Mon 05-Aug-13 14:42:26

"I like my noo shoos mummy... no I won't stand still so you can take the price tags off... no I won't put anything else on thank you..."

It is not the preserve of toddlers to get things mixed up - dad's water socks and little brother's pants

MasterFlea Mon 05-Aug-13 19:01:25

Would this competition be open to nonUK residents too?

SuperNappy Mon 05-Aug-13 21:42:31

Happy Nappy Chappy!

Eve, when I told her to get dressed for nursery. I particularly love the leg warmers on the arms.

And on a different day she decides her brothers football glove is a good addition to her outfit.

Laughing at these. Maybe I should post a photo of my ex who came home complaining about the washing shrinking his pants. He was wearing his sons. Aged 4-5.

DD decided that now she was 3 she should choose her own outfit.
Her brothers swimsuit (age 12-18months) and mummy's furry slipper boots (size 8)

Name changed to an old one I used during YoniGate for this.

Love the toddler logic that you get wet when you swim, and you wear wellies when It's wet.

This is my 18 month old girlie ready to go out, entirely her own work!

KnittedWaffle Wed 07-Aug-13 09:23:35

This was an actual mix up!
DS1 (2) has started to try and dress himself so he can be like his big sister.
A couple of weeks ago I was wondering why he kept falling over but was busy MNing with all the morning things. When I looked he had put both of his legs into one leg of his trousers! It was hysterical.
For my shame he'd been like it for at least 5-10 minutes! blush grin

DD putting her PJs on!

How do turn it round?
