Anyone have pale leather sofas and young dc?

(5 Posts)

Just wondering if it is a really bad idea. Do they mark easily or are they easy to clean?

We have 2 scabby old second hand sofas that I'm sick of- they are covered in throws but they don't match anything or each other. I have the chance to buy a large 3 and 2 seater, 18mth old leather sofa for a bargain price- should I go for it?

i have cream leather sofas

easy to clean - damp cloth and condition them every so often

you can get biro off with hairspray

mine look really clean

Ah fab Ruby- that's what I wanted to know.

What products do you use on them?

DH is paranoid about biro so that's a good tip- don't know how the little monsters always manage to get hold of them!!

i bought a special conditioner about £7 IIRC - can't remember the name but they sell it in furniture shops/homebase

Damp cloth and a dab of washing up liquid and then drying them keeps them looking clean
