Thank you, I really wasn't sure as I only have experience of cat fleas. I just feel so slovenly sad.

fleas don't live on animals, you can pick up a stray flea from walking in long grass! Keep an eye open and if you see more then you know what you have to do....good luck.

Please reassure me, namechanged for obvious reasons! Have had small v. itchy spots for a few days, in short woke up this morning and found a DEAD FLEA in my bed. I took in a stray cat in my younger days, so I know what I'm talking about. No pets, not been in contact with any recently either. So WHERE THE HELL did it come from? Please tell me this kind of thing happens, you get the odd rogue one come in from outside, that kind of thing. Because the alternative is too horrendous to contemplate.

(just to say I have a number of family commmitments this morning, so please no accusations if I don't return to this thread until this afternoon wink)

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
