Getting dried blood stains out of polyester

I have some dried blood stains on my baby daughter's swaddle cloth (100% polyester).

Does anyone know how I can get this out? I am going to put on a wash later on today so have time to pre-treat it now if need be.

But as DD is just 7 days old, I don't want to traipse down to the shops for any products, so am looking for more of a home-made remedy.

I think soaking in cold water is best for blood.
