Peppa go to control panel, then regional and language options, then click on the keyboard and languages tab and you should get the option to change the keyboard to English uk

(It has driven me mad each time I've lived abroad because the keyboard has been set to different languages and I haven't been able to type properly!) there is a shorter way of doing it on the keyboard itself but I can't remember how!
Peppa - i used to get that with my previous laptop. you have to hunt around trying everything to find where the things that you want to use are, sure the £ sign is hiding somewhere!
