I use it for so much stuff, but it's expensive and since we've moved I can't find it in big containers round here. Where do you buy shitloads of bicarb from? Is there an online supplier you use?

Oops - more drug imagery

What do you use it for (apart from snorting) ?... Nosey

Everything!! I clean almost everything in my house with bicarb, vinegar or a mix of the two. Tis the dog's proverbials. It's a disinfectant, kills smells, works as a mild scourer, clears drains, cleans food out of fabric, anything!

There are whole books available on the uses of bicarb Mrswelly, if you want to join as in soda-nerdiness grin

Ooooh

I just use it for baking soda bread grin

Started using soda crystals on the back of a thread, it's great too for greasy pans and the like

sillybilly which books do you have? Would you recommend them? I would love to use more natural products when cleaning but haven't got a clue where to start!

I have '1001 uses for vinegar' which is brilliant and includes uses of apple cider vinegar. I also have the arm and hammer book for bicarb, not sure of the proper title. Bot books are very good, however i have learned over the last fee years that ALL the same info is online if you search for it. The books were both bought for me as gifts (yes people know me well! grin) and are nice to have but not necessary if you want to use bicarb and vinegar for cleaning. I never refer to them now, i just search online.

I use soda crystals where I used to use bicarb, as you can buy bigger bags (1kg for £1, I think), readily, in supermarkets. Depends what you need it for, I use it for cleaning sinks, plugholes, washing machine but has lots of other uses.
