I would just like to say,
PIGLETJOHN, HOW DO YOU KNOW SO MUCH STUFF?

I am in awe of your amazing general knowledge and would just like to say thank you for all the amazing advice you give on these boards.
I always think, PigletJohn will know the answer to this. And lo and behold, you always do!

So, thanksthanksthanksthanksthanks

He is to household maintenance what Cogito and AF are to emotional stuff!

somersethouse Sat 29-Mar-14 17:32:43

He helped me fix my dishwasher once, he is indeed, invaluable!

noviceoftheday Sat 29-Mar-14 17:41:54

Ohhhh. I never realised he was a "he"blush. PJ is fab.

This is a bit random but I always picture PigletJohn looking like Chris from Eggheads!

Unmask yourself PigletJohn grin.

Another distant admirer.
Never have domestic appliance threads been so interesting! smile

Caoilainn Sat 29-Mar-14 17:47:30

I praised him on the other thread and since then he has helped me sort out my decking grin

ASmidgeofMidge Sat 29-Mar-14 17:47:53

He is the household maintenance oracle

Every once in a while there is an All Hail PigletJohn Thread so I am happy to see another grin

Always well deserved. I'm more of a lurker than a poster on DIY/Property, but have learned SO much.

Wonder if we could ever get him to come to a meet up grin

MNHQ should do a web chat with him grin grin

youmeandus Sat 29-Mar-14 18:27:28

another admirer!

I am very easily swayed by PigletJohn's opinions - underfloor heating, cavity wall insulation, hard-wired thermostats.... He could be a 90 year old genteel lady who's never been near a tool box in her life but I'm convinced and store up all the imparted knowledge for when I might need it in the future. He has recently surprised me by branching out into Russia/Ukraine/Crimea. Not just a pretty DIY/Property face ;)

cowsarescary Sat 29-Mar-14 18:40:58

He is infallible on macerator toilets.

OuterFromOutersville Sat 29-Mar-14 18:41:37

grin I'm always surprised when I see PigletJohn on non-DIY threads too.

So, does anyone know what PigletJohn actually does? I thought he ran several businesses, then today he mentioned his work shirts being super-white. Although, I suppose these things aren't mutually exclusive, hmm.

OuterFromOutersville Sat 29-Mar-14 18:42:49

cows, now you've got me imagining a MasterMind specialist subject of macerate toilets grin.

OuterFromOutersville Sat 29-Mar-14 18:43:13

*macerator

TheDoctrineOfSnatch Sat 29-Mar-14 18:44:21

"He is infallible on macerator toilets."

Alter the tense and you've got one hell of an epitaph there... grin

I thought everybody knew I run a therapeutic massage service in Hull?

Mrscupcake23 Sat 29-Mar-14 19:04:35

Ha ha piglet john you get even better.

helzapoppin2 Sat 29-Mar-14 19:54:14

Adding my praise, PJ!

Quinteszilla Sat 29-Mar-14 19:56:40

He is truly both Omniscient and Yoniscient. wink

Hobbes8 Sat 29-Mar-14 19:59:01

Another thanks from me. He gave me ever so helpful radiator advice, which led me to google some stuff, which led me to find more advice he'd given on an old thread! I was hugely pregnant at the time and was super happy to get my heating on before I popped.

Giraffeski Sat 29-Mar-14 20:33:35

Can you pop over and sort our heating out though PJ, the wall thermostat is indecipherable and we have lived in our house now for two years without being able to fathom it.
Am on the verge of asking the plumber to rip it out and replace it with one of those clock thingies with bots that you click in and out.
