Thanks everyone. Will try freezer and then resort to an iron and keep my fingers crossed ! (Although not while actually ironing obviously !)

Ice cubes in two plastic sandwich bags. Leave them over the spot until the wax hardens and scrape .Repeat until it has all gone if possible.

If some remains then you can resort to the warm iron ( use the tip only to melt the wax) and lots of absorbent paper.

I agree with the freezer and peel it off.
If there is a grease mark and you don't think that you want to iron it go and see the dry cleaner who should be able to spot treat it and then clean the whole thing

Stick it in the freezer then peel wax off. Never tried it but seem to remember that was always the solution with wax.

..... Without using an iron?

My North Face coat has had a run in with a candelabra and didn't come out of the encounter very well!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

All the tips I can find say paper and an iron but not sure that's a good move on that type of coat.

Can anyone help please?
