I bought one a couple of months ago hoping it would be the answer to dog hair on the downstairs hard floors & rugs - and it is. The charge only lasts about 15 mins but its long enough to whisk round daily and not let it build up.The lightweight cordless aspect is great for me for health reasons too. The Dyson usp has got to me too, theres a horrified enjoyment seeing how much hair & dust has just gone into the container! Have even got both DS using it when they spill stuff (always) in the kitchen as theres no faffing about to get it out ifyswim? Dog is a short haired lurcher by the way but moulting copiously at the moment!
I've just bought the DC31 which is the handheld DustBuster animal one. 15 mins full charge (6 if you use the 'max' turbo setting). Bought it primarily to do stairs as moved to house with lots of stairs and the thought of hauling out my trad Dyson made me shudder.
Anyway, it's blooming fab. I can do the stairs in about 3 mins. No joke. And it picks up cat hairs v well. I can see it being very useful when it comes to occasional mishaps or doing the car. Am v pleased.
We have the Dc39, which I love. I had wanted the cordless one, and I think it would be great for doing bits here and there and keeping on top of it, easy access etc. But I think the one we have is the more sensible option (for us anyway) - I couldn't hover the whole house in 15 mins (2 sets of stairs and I do a lot of dusting with it), and t would annoy me to have to keep charging when I just wanted to get it out of the way.
I'd love to have both and have the best of both worlds though!
