Paint which doesn't smell too much!

My DD has ASD and is going through a particularly sensitive phase right now. We want to paint some walls and wonder if anyone has suggestions of low odour paints. I seem to remember that Farrow and Ball, although expensive, are better than the likes of Crown, Dulux etc.

water paints, including emulsions, have a mild smell, which will go off with a few days ventilation.

Oil-based paints (with white spirit) smell more strongly and give off fumes.

Open windows are they key.

Fired Earth paint hardly smells at all. Dulux gives me painful sinusitis and I hate the smell, but we had several rooms painted with Fired Earth and barely noticed any smell at all. The colours are nicer too IMO as the pigmentation is denser (or something). It's expensive but if you can wait they have fairly regular sales.

Try Earthborn paints, we've decorated numerous rooms with them and no smell at all, even our old school decorator was coverted and impressed with the coverage.

We recently used Crown Earthblance range in my toddlers room and it had virtually no smell at all - to the point where he was able to sleep in there the same night.
