Generic carpet cleaning fluid

Hi,

I have an upright Bissell Carpet Cleaner. Does anyone know if I can use generic carpet cleaning fluid?

If so, any recommendations, please smile

Probably, yes. I can't recommend any particular brand. But, the main thing about carpet cleaning fluids is they are low-sudsing. That's the really important part.

I got a big bottle of unbranded carpet shampoo from the builders merchant. The branded stuff costs much more. The retail stuff in little bottles works out dearer. I have my doubts that is is so much better.

I have heard of people using Persil Small and Mighty but I expect it has additives in it designed for laundry.

I use astonish carpet cleaner £1 a bottle from Wilkinsons it's great
