Can I put Brabantia bin lid in the dishwasher?

Anyone know? It's one of them matt steel fingerprint proof jobbies - I have vague recollections of putting brushed steel stuff in the dishwasher before and it coming out sort of dull grey so thought I'd ask mn before I ruin my bin lid.

Actually, I've just seen a little sticker on the underside which indicates it's not suitable for the dishwasher, bah!
