Ok firstly
, I am evidently a stinky person.
I have several dry clean only dresses (some silk) that quite frankly have started to pong. I've been told that soaking in white vinegar can get rid of sweat smells (the clothes that is, not me!) but is it really safe to try this on dry clean only/silk clothes?
I really love these dresses and don't want to damage them, but equally I want to keep wearing them!
BTW, ths is not a hygiene issue, I don't have problems with any of my other clothes and shower daily
Advice is much appreciated.

Marking as I too have same problem, chucked loads of lovely clothes because of it, am scared to try bicarbonate paste which works on other fabrics in case I ruin them, but I'm not going to wear them anyway because of the smell if that makes sense!

I'm with you Flumpy
I'm not giving up on these dresses because they were damn expensive - there must be some way of getting the smell out!

My DHs work shirts are the same, it must be the material. This are like a cycling top kind of material but I can't get the smell out of them

Halo sports wash. Specifically for whiffy, smelly clothes. Brilliant stuff.

(Obviously won't work for DC only stuff, although if its between chucking them or trying to do something about them then maybe try handwashing with it). It should fix your laundry prob LittleMissChristmas
I have read that a spritz of neat vodka (!) on the stinky bits gets rid of any smells. Not tried it out yet though.

Take them to be dry cleaned, and talk to them there about it?
