Cleaning a pram

DC3 is due in just over 3 weeks and I've dragged the pram that I used for DCs 1 and 2 out from the cupboard under the stairs. It was quite badly mildewed and I took off all the covers that could be washed and put them through the washing machine. The hood couldn't be removed so I sponged it down with a mixture of anti bac fairy liquid and warm water. It still smells musty. DH wants to use febreeze to get the smell out but I'm a little wary about using chemicals on a bit of the pram that will be so close to the babies head. What else could I use to clean it?

Could you borrow a steam machine and steam it ?

Would kill off any mould spores , will stink to high heaven when your cleaning it , but once its dry will be fine.

Try to dry it off outside , so it airs .

Or you could try sponging it with bicarb of soda solution ,????

best of luck with the birth btw smile
