Welcome to the February edition of the Fledgling Flyers' thread.
If you're living in CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome), this is the thread for you! We follow the tips on the FlyLady website in an attempt to restore order to our homes, but advise against signing up for the e-mails; all the information you need is on this thread.
Each day, I'll be posting the links that will enable you to do any of the following:
- start or repeat babysteps
- repeat babysteps and do 15 minutes a day decluttering in the current zone
or
- reinforce babysteps and do daily missions if you have finished decluttering.
More information about the babysteps is here.
So please join us - there's always plenty of chat,
, cake, encouragement and the occasional
to help us on our way!

Morning all!
After finally getting round to ringing the estate agents the house is due to exchange contracts
there's the decision made for me then!
Just a list dump as I'm on phone...I've finished work and it's only 9am
To do:
Laundry - first load on
Hoover
Wash down doors
Wash down sofas
Clean indoor rabbit
Walk dog and mams dogs
Living room hot spots
Wash up/ shine sink
Mop kitchen floor
Clean out fridge
Go to post office to tax DP car for him
Collect parcel from depot
Paper work when DD goes to bed
Zumba!
BBL!
Thanks for the welcomes <waves> - feel very motivated!
Am at work (shhh) but have got a load of washing on and house is quite tidy. Do need to master getting up a bit earlier though
Linzer very impressed by the running - do you do it every morning? In my head, the night before, it seems like a great way to start the day - but at 6am when my head is still under the duvet it always seems so much less appealing...
Todays list...
Pick up DS's
Organise hwk/reading/piano practise
Cook dinner
Pay cheques in
Walk dog
Tackle huge pile of ironing
Swish and swipe bathrooms
Banking
Sew on Cub/Beaver badges
Nice to be back
I'm in as usual - starting my 3rd year Flying. If I actually did what I was supposed to do I would be living in a show home by now
However I do have routines now and am just beginning to get the hang of decluttering - I could be classed as a slow learner!

I'm in. I've been trying to Fly since September, and have done reasonably well with getting routines in place (some of them
), but really need to start decluttering properly as we may be moving sometime in the next 5 months.
Oops, sorry - posted list on wrong thread. Easily confused!
Have copied to the right one now

I also find it hard to declutter. I have a feeling I am a bit of a hoarder
feetheart It will be my second anniversary of joining the thread next month, and I'm still waiting for my show home to materialise.
It's in there somewhere, buried underneath all the clutter...
Seriously though, there has been a huge improvement since I started FLYing. I do the most sensible some of the babysteps almost automatically now (making beds in the morning, laying clothes out the night before, swish & swipe, etc.), have routines in place, try to declutter regularly and generally feel less overwhelmed by all that there is to do.
Neenook Will answer your question on the other thread so that I only bore the older fledglings with tales of my running exploits.

Joining too have done all the babysteps in January but decluttering is key for me this month. Also I need to divide up the zones to suit my rather large house. No way can home blessing take an hour. Got morning, after school and bedtime routines nearly sorted out. Off to shine my sink, prefer to do this in the morning. I'm not a routine person but flylady has helped so much.

here too
Lauren sorry about the house, but at least you are now in the mood to look!
Very true swan although if I'm honest I think I'll be sticking where I am for the foreseeable future now, the house was a huge 3 bedroom house near the beach around the corner from where I live now, and unfortunately the father from the family who lived there before killed himself and his children purposefully by starting a fire at the front door. So an awful story which at first put me off, but it had huge potential - needs someone to strip it out and start again with it. I don't think I'll find a house with that potential at a low price for another while!! Never mind! (sorry for thread hijack!)
