Would smart jeans be inappropriate for an interview?

I have an interview tomorrow for Pumpkin Patch. Its a new store opening. I got the interview tomorrow (sunday) and only told today so havent had a lot of time to prepare. I was going to wear a black smart top but im not sure whether jeans would be appropriate. They are smart and arent proper denim jeans. They look more like trousers. If not, then I have to rethink my whole outfit. Help please! xxx

I would say no. What about black trousers?

I think I do know the type of jeans that you mean, but think perhaps it would be better if you wore black trousers, sorry.

Loads of luck with the interview though, hope you get it

Agree with everyone else, not jeans but reckon smart trousers would be ok. Good luck.

Also agree. Not really appropriate to wear jeans. All black looks really slick on some people (not me as I am really pasty white and look like I'm ill!). To brighten up, try wearing bright scarf or belt, coloured shoes and bag, and/or bright jewellery of some sort.
