I got an interview next Friday. It is for our local library, as an administration assistant and its part time (20 hours a week). Im quite scared as I havent worked since Dec 2002, and the interview will be held by 2 people, which Ive never had before, and think itll make me even more nervous.

I think there was another thread about this, but has anyone got tips for the interview, and what should I wear? I was thinking of wearing a black suit, with a shirt, not sure which one though yet. Sound good?

Thanks xxx

Wear your suit, that sounds great. Just be your usual lovely self and you will get the job.

tb - sounds good - I'd wear a white shirt if I were you. Not much advice to give though - I'm currently job hunting and I haven't actively worked since april 2003 and am not too keen on the idea of interviews!!

Good luck!!

Congrats Tammybear, as long as you look clean and smart you should be fine. Remember to smile and enjoy the interview. Best of luck

Have a think of the sorts of things they might ask - why do you want this position, what qualities do you feel you have etc & plan your answers. Think of a few positive key words to include to stress how wonderful you are for the job ! Don't worry abut the 2 people thing - just make sure you look at both of them when answering (one might be there just to take notes). Be confident and organised ! Good Luck !!

Wondering about nannies working in uk with own kids? I worked in london for two years before coming back to nz to have my own gorgeous wee boy. Thinking about coming back to london again now- (my little boy is 18 months) but not sure if any employees allow you to bring your own children to work????
