I'm proposing a jobshare for my current full time position for my return to work. I have a small baby and the colleague job sharer already works for the firm and also has small children.
We are proposing Monday to Wednesday and Wednesday to Friday ie with a changeover day. I have to put forward a business case (in by tomorrow ! - typical, made my request a week ago and was told yesterday to send a form in - by tomorrow)
Can I ask:-
- How did you cover holidays? Again,if you're only being paid for 3 days a week and your colleague is ill and you're able to cover, did you get paid additional ?
- When your colleague is ill, again, if you are prepared to cover, do you get paid additional.
Also, I'm in a profession, so have clients to deal with (mostly male!!) - I'm sure it's a matter of education and a breaking in period when you have to prove to everyone that it works - any experiences on that front ?.
Also, as long as set up right, do you think it's as efficient as a full time position?
