getting back up to date going back to work

Did anyone else struggle to get back up to speed on their work area - changes in the company, changes in legal stuff, knowing the latest news about the sector you work in? How did you get back up to date? I really struggle as I've gone from full to part time and lots of things changed at work while I was gone, that's two lots of maternity leave to catch up on. Trade journals & web searches gave me too much info to read... what did you all do?

I done what i needed to do to 'get by'. i didnt pay too much attention to changes that hadnt effected me in the office, as they had happened, and end of story sort of thing. dont worry. youll be fine.
