This is my first post, thanks for reading!
I have seen some mothers have gone back to work before 52 weeks and 'swapped' to give their partner some time off with their baby, from reading the guidelines at www.gov.uk/employers-additional-paternity-pay-leave it sounds like my partner could get paternity leave from when we swap, to 52 weeks (whereas if I stayed off, I would only get maternity pay of 39 weeks).
Before basing all my calculations on this, has anyone done this and can confirm that this is right?
I'm really excited at the moment as it looks like we wouldn't lose out financially by doing this, but it sounds too good to be true!
I would be grateful for any experiences.
