Not had an interview for 14 years - informal visit today, what should I be asking?

I took a career break 10 years ago and have recently gone back. I had to do a refresher course first which only required a paper application, no interview. Course is now complete and I need to find a job. I have enquired about a job local to me and have been invited to come and meet the team today. She asked me to bring my CV which I can do but what sort of thing should I be asking today and what sort of thing should I NOT be asking at this stage. The job in question is for more hours than I really want, should I bring this up yet? I am hoping they might consider a job share if they have appropriate candidates.

Thank you for asking - it was actually really good. I was there for an hour and a half!! Met lots of staff, shown around the building, all very positive. They said they would invite for a interview. They are looking for someone slightly more specialised than me but they know they are hard to come by and are prepared to train me up. So if no one with the qualification/experience applies in the meantime I have a very good chance of being successful - I hope!!

Cool! Hope they make a decision soon.

I recently returned to work after a 14 year gap and whilst it was really nerve-racking at the time, it's the best thing I could have done. It's given me my confidence back. Good luck with it all!

GaynorR do you mind me asking what your field is and how you managed to return after 14 yrs?
