Lacking in confidence

Many mums I have been speaking with recently have totally lost their confidence about going back to work....and I mean totally, despite holding some senior positions with corporate companies. Whilst they are experiencing this conflict about what to do , I had an idea I wanted to share. I am on the board of Young Enterprise as a volunteer. Young Enterprise needs volunteers from business or ex business to volunteer to go into schools to help teenagers run a business for a period of time or even be a judge at a local county company final. Volunteering for a scheme likes this reminds you of just how good you are and what experience you have. If anyone is interested in finding out more do let me know....it could be a nice was of gaining confidence!

but isn't that only good if you have experience running a business?

No not all , any work experience is helpful and relevant. They have no experience at all when they set up a company so all advice is appreciated. Advisers can only guide and not make decisions for the children. Advisers are given lots of support from Young Enterprise.I first got involved by being a judge one evening. It was excellent so have carried on helping.
