Hello All!

Yes. I start back to work tomorrow, and, I'm worried about all the usual issues. I just wanted to ask if there were any other ladies who have gone back to work, full time, how old their child was, and how did it go?

My little son is 15 months old. I have found a lovely childminder who will have him 3 1/2 days a week; he will be with his daddy for the rest of the working week.

It's a new job I have. After a real struggle, I was made redundant while on maternity leave, and I have looked very hard for part-time work. After 11 interviews, and starting to get serious financial problems, I have gone for a full-time role and got the first job I went for (yes, I asked for flexible working - they said it wouldn't fit with this role...).

So, new start. But, I'd really like to hear if anyone else has been in a similar position?

Hi ladypunk, I went back full time when DD1 was 8.5 months. Didn't want to but had no choice, we needed the money to pay the bills. It was hard but I found a wonderful childminder who helped massively to ease my mind and I just made sure I made full use of all the time I did have at home with DD.

I'm off on leave with DD2 at the moment, again dreading the return to work but needs must and I know it'll be ok this time at least.

My coping mechanism was to work completely flat out every minute I was there so I didn't have time to start getting upset about missing DD. it worked for the most part, and made time go quicker too.

Good luck tomorrow :)

You're not alone :0( going back to work in February and absolutely dreading it after being at home with my twins for the past 8 months. Also going back full time, mainly for money reasons. Sleepless nights worrying about it started as christmas ended. Good luck

I went back last week fulltime and DS is 11 months old. I have him in a nursery and so far so good- but I am waiting for the dreaded bugs to start and the washing pile to build up etc
