So I left my previous job which was cold calling and telesales because I hated it.
I wanted an admin job so I could do a nvq in admin which after doing another course I will be qualified to teach admin in a college. But I have just found a college which will allow me to do the nvq class based if I do not have a admin job where i can carry out the nvq work.
In the mean time I went for an interview which will basically be cold calling but not teleselling - just trying to arrange appointments so that the sales people can go in and try to sell to them. It is only 3 days per week school hours and the manager seems lovely and flexable. Also later down the line there may be room to do more admin, but maybe not enough to do my nvq, which is very important to me.
Also as the job is 16hours per week and i am a single parent then i will be able to get working tax credits again which will be great.
But I could also get a job with my dad for 16hours per week and get tax credits and stay there until I find a job that I actually want and look forward to starting. The job with my dad will not involve any admin work. But working with family can be very demanding and stressful at times.
Sorry this post is so long I just feel very
I would go for the job you wee interviewed for. I would not personally want to work with my family
you can also keep the nvq in the back of your mind and you might get an opportunity or they might even sponsor you at some point if you do a fab job!

thank you for the reply, the college i have been to will give me full funding now if i want to do the nvq. and if i do it that will lead to me being able to teach and earning much more money.
