What should I do about dd regressing at school and copying peers?

I know I should not be posting here as neither my dd or my other children are listed as g&t. But not sure where else to post....

My daughter is copying others at school and not doing what she is capable of. She only started school in september, but before she went she was reading and attempting writing sentances and simple maths, her drawings were always very carefully coloured. Then she went to school, in her school books the work is scribbled, her reading is getting confused (I assume a phonics issue).

Socially she is interacting wonderfully with all the other children, so I am pleased about that.

But she is copying the way they work. When she does her homework, I ask her to do her work neatly, and she does it ok in very little time. I asked her why she was scribbling when at school, and she said it was because: it was what all the other children were doing.

Should I just ignore all this or should I mention it to her teacher.

Mention it to her teacher.... And behavior and development is a good catch-all topic for things of this nature.
