any tips on giving eye drops to a 5 month old please?

DD has a bad case of conjunctivitis and also has the infection inside her lower lid. We've been givng one lot of drops twice a day for 3 days and they haven't made it any better. Doctor has now given us some different drops but they must be given every 3 hours!!! DD gets so, so upset and screws her eyes up as tightly as possible. I get upset cos my baby is upset so I'm as much use as a chocolote teapot but I know i've got to get them in otherwise it's only going to get worse. Any tips greatly received.
