I am pretty sure I have this
, and have suffered on and off for years and years. I did an exclusion diet about ten years ago and it was blardy hard, but I did feel so much better.
My symptoms now are becoming more and more troublesome - cravings, bloating, weight gain, fatigue, itchy bits x2, headaches, etc etc.
I need to do the diet again, but when I search, all I seem to find are what you CAN'T eat - what I really need is a diet sheet telling me what I CAN eat, for breakfats and lunch especially.
Could anyone help please - I am feeling quite down and overwhelmed

Its a nightmare isn't it?
I would say cut out the usual yeast and sugar (including fruit) and eat lots of soups and veg. I think I have some info. Let me go check

basically cut out all sugar (incl natural like fruit for 1st 10 days), wheat, meat and dairy.
I have been eating organic corn flakes, soup, humous and oatcakes, veg (soup and stir frys), nuts, eggs, fish. Also, i have been forcing down dry oats mixed with natural yoghurt (as these are both really good for the gut). Drinking soya milk (unsweetened) and green tea.
I have been reading lots online, and basically, if you do it for long enough to kill it off, then monitor what you eat (keep low amouts of sugar and wheat, an monitor what upsets your stomach) it shouldnt keep recoccuring,. I am doing it for 28 days, whch i am hping should be enough as it is sooooo dull.

I don't like yoghurt, so dry cornflakes for breakfast or dry oats?
Then soup or baked potato for lunch?
Stirfry (but no soy sauce for dinners?)
Not sure I can do that

yes or you could add some soya milk. I think even if you cut down on stuff it will make a difference. The above is the most drastic way to kill off the yeast. My downfall is coffee with sugar in!

This sounds very similar to my elimination diet right now.
Agree with you about having a list of what you can eat, its so much more motivating.
Ive been using Rice dream as a milk substitute, not my fave ,but at least it makes things moist!
Ive also found this as a soya sauce sub , Im deciding whether to buy it.
What are you flavouring your jacket potato with waitinforgodot?
Are those typical candida symptoms?

i put fish and salad in baked pot. with a bit of black pepper
I find symptoms of candida as previous post mentions-bloating, stomach pains and spots under the skin on my forehead.

Another quick couple of questions!
Can you drink sugar-free drinks (ie with artifical sweetners) in them when you are avoiding sugar?
What about diabetic chocolate???
I am so bored of nuts and seeds 
If you keep feeding the yeast then you will continue to crave. Daibetic chocolate is not a good idea. Although it is hard I cut sugar out really hard for a week or two to kill the cravings
I just do low carb and my symptons ( especially cloudy head) go away.
I also use grapefruitseed extract and a good pro biotic

cravings and bloating and weight gain dont sound like typical candida problems. have you had a thyroid test for underactive thyroid..hypothyroidism

I am past the cravings bit now - it has been two weeks two days (not that I am counting lol) since I ate sugar or yeast. It hasn;t been pretty lol!
I was just wondering if I could extend my diet somewhat, and if so what was the best place to start? I assumed that artificial sugar wouldn't feed the candida - is that wrong?
I do feel SO much better for having done this (esp the lack of head-fog!) but wonder how/when I strat to relax a bit?

I've not had any tests for that although I have wondered about it. I just assume I was one of those many tired-all-the-time types who had a sugar problem!
You have to be half dead for my dr's surgery to check your bloods, so doing this anti candida diet seems like a good first step. I have lost a few pounds doing it too 
I justthink artifiacl sugars are crap really - and i think they keep you wanting the sugar taste - that all.
when I am doing anti-candida I always drink lots and lots of water (and gin and tonic) and adding soft drinks on top would just make me pee endlessly

itchy skin and itchy fanjos are definitely a sign of thyroid problems,plus the fatigue,weight gain and headaches. Do you feel cold when its not really tha cold?

the itchy skin can be anywhere,but if you have had the symptoms a while it often occurs on the face and can make it a little puffy

has your hair altered texture....the itching can be absolutely anywhere.
Did the itching round your hairline start after a viral illness NAvyeyelash or do you have any other symptoms

I do feel the cold, but always have done. I also get itchy feet/lower legs, but only when I am in bed. I have good skin - I get compliments on it, despite the amount of chocolate I consume!
The itchy bits x2 seem to be better since I have started the diet, so I do think it is having an effect.
I just feel a GP would think I was wasting their time if I turned up with my lost of random, mild symptoms.
Would an underactive thyroid have been tested in pregnancy, although my last pg was 5 years ago, I was starting to feel like this then

no.i doubt if thyroid would be tested as a routine blood test during pregnancy unless you were experiencing problems and told them about it. Gp see lots of these'non speciic problems' and they often take a long time to diagnose,but i wouldnt ignore what uour body is telling you. Go and see the doc

Just updating in case anyone is interested. I have been doing a no-sugar, no bread diet since I posted. I have had yeast and sugar in things like soy sauce and fruit, but not in any great quantities.
My bloating is much reduced, I am much more energetic - physically and mentally, my itchness has gone, as have the headaches, and I have lost 1/2 stone.
Best of all is that I am not craving food. My appetite isn't so powerful as it was, and while I am appreciating my meals, I just don't feel the need to snack aside from a banana or some oatcakes. I wouldn't have believed it before!
Of course, i would love to taste some chocolate, but I really don't want to upset my body's new balance, so am not finding it hard to resist.
