He was in for a fortnight on IV antibiotics

We couldn't visit much & he has been out for about3 weeks now

I just don't know what to do/expect I'm sure he was much perkier last year

I guess I'm just a bit worried

Can you go out over the weekend, or one evening next week just you and him?

Thanks for the suggestion Claire - but he isn't really well enough to be out & about yet; we took DD to see Harry Potter & he was tired for days afterwards so we will do something like that in a few weeks

Perhaps the reality of his health is hitting him?

Ah that must be really hard. Maybe do something nice just the two of you at home? Could someone look after DD for you? Hoping he will be feeling better soon.

I do wonder about that - he is very down & lethargic & can't be bothered

I think you need to expect that he is going to take months to recover, tbh. A fortnight of IVABs is a long time. Most people get moved over to oral after 2-3 days. He sounds like he was really quite poorly.

It must be hard for you. How are you doing? Are you managing to rest? The last thing any of you needs is you heading for exhaustion.

No I'm not really sleeping well maybe midnight to about 6am - which is worse than it sounds as I have ME & can sleep for up to 10 hours straight normally ( or from 6-8 then from 11-7)

He isn't really going to get better he will just get over this particular infection then (hopefully) not et any worse until the next one iyswim
