I have never met her and my other half sister and brother. Only spoke to her for the first time ever in Novemeber-we were all really excited about meeting each other and got on really well via email/phone etc.In February she was diagnosed with advanced cancer of the lung-I cant believe I'm going to meet her this weekend, then she goes away for 3 weeks and then comes back for chemo and then who knows what may happen. She is 42 with 2 kids.I feel so confused about this but my main question is that I want to give her something really special that she can keep that will make her .
I'm very,very about this.

how about a picture, or something that maybe she can have one part of and you have the other half so you are always together even when apart if you see what i mean
not sure how to help really
sorry

Sorry to hear about this dropinthe. What about taking lots of photos when you meet her, with her kids etc, with you and put them in a nice album or frame something for her.

I think I will be meeting her and my half brother alone without the kids so not really possible. I cant be too sentimental as I dont even know her but then I do want to be in a way. Does that make sense?

dropinthe I am sorry to hear about your half sister and your situation. My mum has advanced lung cancer and we are all trying to come to terms with it (she is ten years older than your sister). I also have a half brother who I'd very much like to meet but am not in contact with so have some understanding of that too. I can imagine your hurt & confusion I am not sure what advice to give you but if you'd like to CAT me please do. Winniex

not sure, how about when you were younger, maybe about things you remember as a child, so she feels almost like she always been a part of yr life, something that maybe she can relate to you with, maybe a bit like an autobiography but prob not as detailed and obv not as long, just memories you have
