idobelieveinfairies Tue 03-Feb-09 16:01:50

It's really annoying feels like their is a mobile phone in their that starts vibrating now and again.

It's mainly when i am sitting down, i know it sounds really odd but does anyone else get this.

There is nothing left in their i promise blush

12StoneNeedsToBe10 Tue 03-Feb-09 16:03:50

grin was going to ask if you'd left your love-egg in place grin

SheherazadetheGoat Tue 03-Feb-09 16:03:58

maybe you had a micro chip placed in there by the soviets in the 60's and they are not 'awakening' you to take part in some dastardly plan.

either that or some nerver or other is trapped.

Rhubarb Tue 03-Feb-09 16:05:18

A phantom vibrator?

idobelieveinfairies Tue 03-Feb-09 16:05:41

I can see where your coming from Goat re..the soviets..but i was born in impossible.....trapped nerve eh!....prhaps i am sitting too much then blush

SoupDragon Tue 03-Feb-09 16:06:01

Have you accidentally sat on your mobile phone?

Rhubarb Tue 03-Feb-09 16:06:32

People have been sexually abused by ghosts apparently, are you being attacked by a ghostly rabbit?

harleyd Tue 03-Feb-09 16:06:57

and you're complaining why??

idobelieveinfairies Tue 03-Feb-09 16:08:03

I am getting a bit paranoid that people can hear it...will have to wait for DP to get in from work and see if he can hear anything.

idobelieveinfairies Tue 03-Feb-09 16:08:57

unfortunately it isn't in the 'right' area's just plain annoying!

psychomum5 Tue 03-Feb-09 16:09:29

watch all the jealous MNers jump on the thread asking what you have eaten today, hoping to also get a vibrating vagina.

SheherazadetheGoat Tue 03-Feb-09 16:10:43

lol @ hear it. the singing ringing vulva - that would be a lovely children's story

Hassled Tue 03-Feb-09 16:13:37

Could it be some, ahem, wind that's trying to escape? The fanny equivalent of a rumbling tummy?

Clattered Tue 03-Feb-09 16:14:23

Can you adjust the vibration? Perhaps if you tried you could pick up Radio Four.

norksinmywaistband Tue 03-Feb-09 16:14:47

Pressure on a nerve in that area??
?? could you be PG , thats the only time I have ever experienced this

BCNS Tue 03-Feb-09 16:15:20

Snap.. I get this on and off lol.. I pressumed it was a funny nerve. sadly it never happens at a good time to be useful

louii Tue 03-Feb-09 16:18:04

So thats where my mobile went, although maybe you can just keep it now.

LowSlungAndOverhung Tue 03-Feb-09 16:19:49

Maybe it's a mosquito or a bee. grin

psychomum5 Tue 03-Feb-09 16:22:28

could it be over-use???

Clattered Tue 03-Feb-09 16:23:48

lol psycho

....or under-use?

belcantwait Tue 03-Feb-09 16:26:20

lol i had this a few monthsb ago and posted exactly the same thing. it was EXACTLY aas you describe. it lasted a few days and then went. hth

psychomum5 Tue 03-Feb-09 16:30:46

ah yes, under-use possibly too.....making you feel what it is missingwinkgrin

BCNS Tue 03-Feb-09 17:04:47

are we assuming this affliction is caused by under-use???.. if so I am immediatly printing this thread off and giving it to DH !

belcantwait Tue 03-Feb-09 17:47:33

mine is def through neglect

MaryMotherOfCheeses Tue 03-Feb-09 17:49:43

<snort at hopes of picking up radio four> grin

thesockmonsteroflurve Tue 03-Feb-09 17:51:09

I am absolutley wetting myself with laughter.

liath Tue 03-Feb-09 17:53:14

Apologies for a truly dull explanation but it's probably just a muscle fasciculation......

LoveMyLapTop Tue 03-Feb-09 17:57:15

muscle spasms?
Like you sometimes get in your ey?
I had a vibrating breat today, was most embarrassing as I was in Court and thought everyone could see it jiggling about. blush

Guadalupe Tue 03-Feb-09 17:57:24

Something, somewhere in the world is calling it, like batfink's radar. Can you hear a beep?

LoveMyLapTop Tue 03-Feb-09 17:57:30

thesockmonsteroflurve Tue 03-Feb-09 17:58:53

what were you in court for, sorry but I cant stop laughing.

mumofdjandbabies Tue 03-Feb-09 17:59:34

I get this shock
I thought it was hormonal!

LoveMyLapTop Tue 03-Feb-09 18:00:35

I am a police officer, one of my cases was up for mention.
Was wearing a v neck jumper and for some reason my left breast started sort of contracting. Thought I might be having a heart atacck

mumofdjandbabies Tue 03-Feb-09 18:00:43

maybe its ET phoning home?

psychomum5 Tue 03-Feb-09 18:00:51

still jealous of the vibrating..........

psychomum5 Tue 03-Feb-09 18:01:31

and thinking that if it is due to 'under-use', that I have been shortchangedhmm

mumofdjandbabies Tue 03-Feb-09 18:03:18

teeeeeeee heeeeeee
seriously though I get this too blush
its too weird!

BoffinMum Tue 03-Feb-09 19:51:48

This has to be a MN classic!

HeadFairy Tue 03-Feb-09 19:53:26

I've had this before, it's normally my whole pelvis. I've even posted about it, it's surprising how common it is. Apparently it's to do with blood flow in the pelvis causing vibrations. Never got off on it though

twoluvlykids Tue 03-Feb-09 20:11:20

is it like a pulsing sensation??

NorbertDentressangle Tue 03-Feb-09 20:17:12

If I was crude and crass I could come up with a "Carry On"-style smutty joke about purring and pussies but its just not my style......

KerryMumbles Tue 03-Feb-09 20:21:08

this thread is hysterical

SoupDragon Tue 03-Feb-09 21:18:23

You're not the poster who bought the balls which vibrate when a mobile phone goes off are you?

angelene Tue 03-Feb-09 22:30:36

I also get this, usually when I'm shopping and trying to listen out for the phone ringing/vibrating. It is extremely odd and I'm glad it's not just me.

Shall we start a support group? The coffee mornings would be interesting if nothing else grin

idobelieveinfairies Wed 04-Feb-09 10:31:26 i have never bought any vibrating balls before. Some excellent responses but alas..i think it must be nothing more than a trapped nerve (or 5) down there. It's gone today, but i am very glad to see i am not the only one that gets it.

angelene-that is what i have been doing all day..i wear a across the body type it does sit in that kind of area and i am forever lifting my bag thinking its going to be my phone starting to ring as i feel the vibration..but its not a phone it's me blush

Heres to us and our vibrating vaginas! (clinking of glasses)

mumofdjandbabies Wed 04-Feb-09 14:49:57

cheers me dears grin
clinks you back wink

showmeyourpuku Wed 04-Feb-09 15:05:19

PMSL Where can i get a copy of the "singing ringing vulva"? Maybe I'll ring the local bookshop and ask if I can order one...

blackrock Wed 04-Feb-09 18:55:34

Maybe you have a twitch....I usually get one in the corner of my eye...never heard of one there though, only for chat rooms i guess.

Boobz Wed 04-Feb-09 22:50:39

Maybe you are one of the Final 5 and this is your awakening as a Cylon.

(Shuffles off with her Battlestar Galactica references and Sci-Fi obession to bed).

I also get this and sometimes it travels down my left inner thigh and the muscle spasms visibly. I always thought maybe it was leftover pressure from unresolved conquests grin

smartiejake Wed 04-Feb-09 23:10:44

I had this when I was in the very early stages of PG.

brimfull Wed 04-Feb-09 23:16:08

lol at" leftover pressure from unresolved conquests "

the possibilities of explosion!

dearprudence Wed 04-Feb-09 23:16:46

God, I hope it's not a wasp!

MrsMerryHenry Wed 04-Feb-09 23:17:16

This thread is fabulous grin

Rolf @ 'Shall we start a support group? The coffee mornings would be interesting if nothing else'

MrsMerryHenry Wed 04-Feb-09 23:36:41

Rofl "Rolf"!!

blushgrin yeah, well that was how much I was laughing!

LadyOfWaffle Thu 05-Feb-09 00:27:00

Heheee, WTF is a 'Rolf'? grin

solo Thu 05-Feb-09 00:33:13

Snap.. I get this on and off lol.. I pressumed it was a funny nerve. sadly it never happens at a good time to be useful.

Was this a spelling mistake BCNS? Should it read fanny nerve? grin

I'm sulking because I only get this at the top of one thigh...I often reach into my pocket for my mobile to find no mobile there, just a 'ringing leg'. hmm

SuperBunny Thu 05-Feb-09 05:06:59

Hmm, this thread is quite amusing but, OP, you have my sympathy - I get a similar thing only in my pelvis. Apparently it is a nerve that gets constricted and can be aggravated by weight gain/ pregnancy/ something else. It was suggested that I have physio or see a chiropracter but since it doesn't hurt, I am not bothered.

I do sometimes find myself reaching down to answer my phone, only to realise it is me vibrating blush

MrsMerryHenry Thu 05-Feb-09 14:17:06

IwishIwasmoreorganised Thu 05-Feb-09 14:20:55

Oooh I got this for the first time last week - it's certainly not from overuse blush

I'd love to come to your coffee morning grin

I want a vibrating vagina [sulk]

flamingtoaster Thu 05-Feb-09 14:34:21

If those who vibrate could link up a loudspeaker to convert the vibration to sound they might have a whole new musical career - they might even win the Eurovision Song Contest since novelty acts seem to be the way to go these days.

Soph73 Thu 05-Feb-09 15:02:08

Well I think this has got to be one of the funniest threads I've read in ages. Thank you one & all.

Started crying when saw piccie of Rolf

IwishIwasmoreorganised Thu 05-Feb-09 15:10:51

Oooh I'm loving the eurovision idea! Surely no-one could top that as an act grin

mumofdjandbabies Thu 05-Feb-09 15:28:07

fannytastic wink

mumofdjandbabies Thu 05-Feb-09 15:28:43

could we come on stage vibrating to come the girls grin

pagwatch Thu 05-Feb-09 15:30:26

My fav part of this thread is the brackets in the title
(that general area)...
Op didn't mean her vagina - you know the bit above the knee.
It is a general specific

MrsMerryHenry Thu 05-Feb-09 16:05:01

Pagwatch, I'm ROLFROFL again!

HaHaHa!!!!!Here come the girls..

(you arn't going to let me off with that typo last night are you...blush)

curlywurlycremeegg Thu 05-Feb-09 16:37:14

I get this vibrating sensation a lot, I often take my phone out of my pocket to answer it and realise the vibrating is still there, I think it's just one of my (not so) unique features grin

MrsMerryHenry Thu 05-Feb-09 17:19:03

Flamingtoaster - maybe they could vibrate 'Bohemian Rhapsody' along with Rolf? That'd be a surefire Eurovision winner!

solo Thu 05-Feb-09 17:19:51

You lot have put a curse on me! my chest has been going some today! mind you, one of my eyes has been going like the clappers for 3 days...think I'd rather have the fanjo philharmonic going than the eye lid aria or breast bone band playing. hmm

mumofdjandbabies Thu 05-Feb-09 17:32:22

aw bless you solo thats not funny

If its not vaginas vibrating its retinas wink

MrsMerryHenry Thu 05-Feb-09 17:33:09

Just let Uncle Rolfy and his wobble board soothe your woes...

inzidoodle Thu 05-Feb-09 17:37:43

OMG I get this, I often think I have left my mobile there.......blush not that I use my phone on vibrate down there grin I sometimes put my phone between my legs in the car and leave it on vibrate so I know if someone has called when the music is on....I have often reached down thinking its vibrating and its sat in the seat next to me!!! (This was before the not answering phones in the car Law!!!!!!)

solo Thu 05-Feb-09 18:04:30

MrsTH, I like Rolf Harris. No! I love Rolf Harris! grin

mumofdjandbabies Thu 05-Feb-09 18:44:15

I have a theory shock have the vibrating vagina crew had csections or vaginal deliveries?

I have only had c sections maybe the surgeon lost his moby inside me when his wife rang during the op to ask what time he would be home for tea shockwink

No seriously I am wondering...... maybe if youve had sections your nerves get damaged and vibrate???blush

Blow my theory out of the water girls grin

flamingtoaster Thu 05-Feb-09 19:42:53

Mumofdjandbabies - Good theory but I've had two c-sections and I do not vibrate.

SuperBunny Thu 05-Feb-09 21:18:39

Vaginal delivery = vibrating pelvis here

No mobiles anywhere inside me afaik

EachPeachPearMum Fri 06-Feb-09 03:43:32

I had this in pg.... was very o d d

Clairemargaret Fri 06-Feb-09 14:28:05

Sorry to inject a practical note, as I'm enjoying all the jollity, but if it feels like a fizzy sensation it could be an infection (not necessarily an STD, I hasten to add!). I had something like this and antibiotics cleared it up. But I'm not a doctor - any medical people on here?

bohemianbint Fri 06-Feb-09 17:44:45

Ooooh, I had this recently, just like a trapped nerve, it was very odd.

Also, recently after MNing too long in the same position, I stood up and had pins and needles in the fanjo. Has anyone had that? Disturbing...

idobelieveinfairies Fri 06-Feb-09 22:37:56

I have had vaginal births and 2 c-sections...but the last one was 4 years ago....but i have a lot of scar tissue on the inside.

Hope it isn't an infection's all gone for now anyhow.

I think i might keep a vibrating vagina diary..and see if there are any clues as to what it might be.

I am hoping it might be my clip coming loose grin

I've had the pins and needles fanjo's a very weird feeling grin

bohemianbint Sat 07-Feb-09 09:44:13

Oh, I'm glad soemone else has had it. Now you mention it though, I don't remember any of this weirdness pre-baby. hmm

RoflRolf Fri 28-Feb-14 22:05:30

PMSL This is the most hilarious thread we have ever read, omg we are absolutely in tears here: "Rolf" lol - what a classic.

We came on here looking for info about my missus' vibrating vagina smile found out some other ppl have had it but most of all had a right giggle. Keep it going. Right off to see if the missus' needs any help with that.
