i know u probably think i'm a right old moaner but i just wondered if there are any big girls out there who-although used to love the summer and the beach etc-now feel depressed when they have to ditch the big coat and show the flab for everyone to see?!!! i know it's my own fault and i should be cutting down but isn't it easier said than done?

moan away - everybody else does

I'm not large so maybe I shouldn't comment but I work at keeping my weight where I like it. Yes it is easier said than done - most things in life are - but you can do it if you want. Give it a go - just don't go for complete denial of the things you like but ration your treats and go out for long walks or something.

I hope you achieve what you desire.

thanks joolstoo. i used to be brilliant at keeping my weight down-reckon i can work out how many calories approx. in everything as i was on diets from the age of 8! from 14 to about 26 i was very slim and then.... i got married! i'm now 37 with 3 kids who i love dearly and i can't blame being pregnant making me fat, i can blame the "leftover fishfingers that are so tempting"!!! (plus the wine....!)

cutekids
moan away, I know what you feel like. One of the mums at nursery said she's going to dig her shorts out... well I don't want to scare the neighbours! I guess I'm not really all that big (1.60m/72kg), but it's all sooooo flabby after ds's arrival 6 months ago, and sooooo white and full of cellulite... you get the picture

I know exactly what I need to do to loose the weight, but foodwise I need the energy as I haven't had a full nights sleep in 3.5 years and after a hard day with the kids (I've got 2) chocolate is such a nice relaxation aid, especially when taken whilst soaking in the bath. Not that that happens all to often as usually either dd or ds let rip as soon as I'm about to go 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaah'

and working out... I do run after kids all day so actually should be shedding it LOL
