AF question; hope not TMI for a morning!

Hi all - just looking for some advice if possible

I stopped taking the pill 2 months ago, mainly to start TTC. I'd been taking it since DD was 6 weeks old, so over 2 years now. Whilst I was on it I had very light AF at the most lasting 1 or 2 days. And for over a year I had no AF at all.

Last month I had my first AF not on a pill, and it was awful. Very very heavy and lasted 6 days.

This month (last Tuesday infact)) it was much better and more normal:

AF started about 11am, and was quite heavy (but not nightmare/flooding, etc) for that day. By next morning it was just average. By that evening, quite light. Then had a day of spotting - only there when I went to toilet, etc.

However this week I have been feeling quite sickly, and last night I had fresh red spotting, when I go to the toilet. I had a funny night, tossing and turning. Woke this morning, feeling a bit rough and as I have been kicked down there. Fresh spotting is still there too. No clots or anything though.

Because I feel so uncomfortable I am ging to go to drop in doctors this morning and ask about it there. But just wondered if anyone here had experienced similar, and had further advice.

Thank you.

And really sorry if TMI for a morning!

Hi Hula

When I came off the pill (years and years ago) it took a good few months for my periods to actually settle down into a regular pattern .. probably around 6 IIRC

Alternatively it could've been implantation bleeding and you may be pregnant .. have you tested??

No, not tested. But don't think I am pg either. My temps are down after AF as they should be. I am assuming feeling sick could be related to hormones with AF (and possibly from dieting???). I will see what doctor says, but I guess I could/should test to definitely rule it out, although pretty certain on that count.

it temps are below baseline then no point wasting the money hula

the sickenss could be anything (maybe a virus?)

That's what I thought. Pg wasn't my concern with it TBH.

I just feel bruised and uncomfortable. And the fresh spotting is bothering me. I guess I need to rule out infections, etc. too.

But it may well just be my body sorting itself out too. Just wish it'd hurry up and do it, cos I feel yukky!

I met a colleague/friend this WE who told me about her course on Mayan womb massage .... it is just quite amazing how it can restore a good health/balance of the womb.
If you are interested I am happy to give you her details... you could ask her her views.

Souinds interesting

Mind you, because of way I actually feel this afternoon I actually think that I have some form of virus, and that that might be part/all of the reason. Very hot and cold on/off, groggy, headachy, etc.

Hulababy - you may well be just coming down with something, but both my best friend and I have noticed the "kicked in the whatsit" feeling since giving birth (neither of us have been back on the pill). Sad to say it's still there most periods, nearly 10 years later.
