From memory ... think so, but no lasting baldness!

Well, DS lost all his hair being around 3m old, the hair attached to the flakes look gross but I think it's just a phase.

DS lost little clumps of hair with his cradle cap and my HV said that it was hair that he would've lost bit by bit but the cradle cap had stuck it all together rather than it falling off gradually. Does that make sense? I think I'm explaining it badly but hopefully you know what I mean.

Yes, ds1 and ds2 both had cradle-cap and both lost their hair. When their hair grew back it was curly and a different colour too.

My ds, now 2 had really bad cradle cap which seemed to go on for ever. I think it started at about 3-4 months and really its only in the last 6 months that its completely disappeared. I dont think he had much hair til he was about 1 so he didnt lose hair, although yes sometime great big bits of the cradle cap would come off (and then seemingly grow back just as fast). I used bottles and bottles of almond oil and then when he was a bit bigger, the dentinox shampoo. It does go eventually but seemed at the time that it never would. Good luck and try not to worry {smile)

Yes Twiglett, the same happens with dd2's cradle cap, It's just the baby hair iykwim, the new hair growing in will soon cover it.

Hi twiglett,

Nothing to worry about..
My DD now 12 months still has cradle cap..
developed it at about 3 months and we noticed that no hair grew where the cradle cap was very bad.. So we got rid of all her hair and whilist she was an egg head I massaged with almond oil daily and she has now got a fine head of hair but the cradle cap is still prevalent but not as bad as it was..
It takes ages for the hair to grow back but you see it will grow back really healthy it must be all that oil..
