Poor you , dh and dd Galaxy!

Ds2 had one of those when he was only a few months old, it's horrible watching them going through it isn't it?

Good luck on Friday, and hope the results come back ok.

Your poor little girl and your poor DH, it brought tears to my eyes reading that.
He must feel dreadful.
What a terrible incident with the canular.
Hope all goes better on Friday, and that she isn't left with a hospital phobia

How awful for you all . I can sympathise totally, DS was admitted with a bowel problem when he was 6 months old. I can still remember the screaming when they were trying to get blood from him. They eventually after about 30 mins managed to get it from his foot too, although they were going to try his forehead at one stage. I had to leave the room and let DH deal with it as I was no use at all and in floods of tears (oh god).
The only thing I can say is that they do forget...
Hugs to you all.

It's horrid isn't it

They do forget though, DS1 (5) has forgotten the nasty bits of the IV line and blood taking from his pneumonia at Easter and he was crying and screaming too.

oh Galaxy, I feel so sorry for you all, particularly your DH and your DD will probably forget about it vry soon but I'd guess you and your DH will remember it forever.
I do hope things are much better for you on friday.

Reading this had brought back memories of my DD in hospital with tummy bug. they kept her in overnight and she had a drip in her foot for the whole time.. it was horrible!!

Sometimes don't you wish you could just forget about the day, the same way your DD has!!!

Hope the interview goes well on thursday. You're doing fantastically.

All the best ....

oh gosh, this brings back memories. ds1 had this scan and they just couldn't find a vein, plus he had eczema which made it even more difficult to see and painful for him. They kept on trying and trying and in the end they got the canular into his foot too.

ds2 (17 weeks) has the same kidney problem and will be having one of those scans on the 21st Sept. I'm really not looking foward to it. I think I'll ask DH to take a day off to go with me, because I'll probably end up crying too.

I hope your DH is feeling better.

My dd1 had the same scan, Galaxy, and it's pretty awful. She was actually quite ill at the time and ended up laid out on a stretcher in the corridor. They never did find anything wrong with her kidneys, though I guess that's a good thing, really. Hope your wee one is feeling better in the morning.
