Carla, do a search in the archives section. There was a thread, poss last year, from someone in a similar position and I know lots of people contributed to it. It might give you somewhere to start before others reply to your message. Love oxo xxx

Didn't read your reply to 'how much?' until after I'd posted. Didn't mean to be crass

Carla, the thread was from last November and is by Ghengis. Sorry, can't do links but it is under the health section in archived messages. When I asked why you wanted to stop, I just meant that for some M/Netters, 2 glasses of wine a day, every day, feels like a problem. Of course I now understand the reasons why you are so worried.

And yesterday, when I had to get a pressie for Anna's party to go to, I even had a chat with a Big Issue seller. And then a Chinese Methodist. Imagine how I felt this morning.

Carla, you might try Smart Recovery . When and if aloha sees this, she'll start in on cognitive behavioural therapy as an alternative to AA. Smart Recovery is based on that.

So I'm agreeing with a possible future post... but I hope it helps you.

It's a really helpful site. Check out the online forum and post your situation there.

But if you've already been drinking tonight, I'd wait until tomorrow to do it. The links will still be here.
