Advise pls on what I should have in my first aid kit at home

Any suggestions would be of great help. We were going to buy one from St John's Ambulance but found that none of the kits had a complete range so we've now decided to make one up of our own.

Thanks for your help/advise in advnace.

Hope you all enjoyed the sun today!! (not sure of what the weather in other parts of the country was, but London was SUPERB

Apart of the regular things I would put inside of it the number of NHS direct and emergency doctors and details about how to call an ambulance in case of emergency. (It's always difficul to find them when you need them most)

Tayroo, you may have done one already as you mentined St J, but a basic first aid course can be invaluable, all parents should do one IMVHO.

Would add to Twigletts great list some anti-histamine cream and tablets, especially with all the nasty wasps around at the moment.
