baby boy's foreskin question

I'm feeling like a first time mum again with all my questions these days! Our DS was born with his foreskin quite far back (or at least it seems that way to us). The tip of the penis is actually exposed at all times and it seems a little strange to us. We've got two other boys (4 & 2) and their foreskin comes down right over the whole penis, so I'd assumed that was normal?

Anyway, this morning when I changed ds's nappy, there was some blood at the foreskin and it looked like if you scrape your finger and some skin is exposed... very raw! I've got an appointment at the gp this afternoon, but does anyone know about this? Is it normal... not the bleeding of course, but the foreskin in general?

It could be normal, their willies do get a bit of a hard time in terms of wee/poo/ammonia etc. But best to get checked out,
