I started getting horrible period pain yesterday afternoon & still got it now.No bleeding at all, just cramps. The weird thing is,I don't have periods,so don't quite understand it.I take Cerazettte,a mini pill & have only had 1 period in the 20 months I've been taking it.

Anyone had anything similar or any suggestions as to what could be causing it?.{I am tempted to stop taking Cerazette btw,as it doesn't suit me very well}.

Thanks

I get that with the Mirena - don't get the bleeding but do get the cramps (it's horrible - would far rather have had it the other way around!!)

Perhaps it's a side effect of the progesterone component?

Mirage, I had this a while ago (and I think I even started a thread on it too).

I'm on the same pill, don't get periods but had aches and pains low down in my tummy which felt like period pains. This started after being on this pill for about 2 months I think.

I mentioned it to the GP who didn't seem particularly concerned. He wondered whether it might have been mild IBS symptoms.

I continued with the pill and the pains stopped.

Best get it checked out tho eh, could be something like kidney stones?

Thanks everyone.Rubberduck, that sounds quite likely-could be the progesterone.I didn't know that the Mirena had side effects like that too.

BettySpaghetti, that is interesting.I was diagnosed as having IBS last week.I wonder if it is that?

Frizbe-I know that you are right, but I feel a bit guilty going to the Drs.I hadn't been for months, then went twice in the past 2 weeks with 2 different things.I daren't go again in case they think I'm a hypochondriac!
