Hello I just wondering if anyone has any advice or been in this situation like me...

I haven't had a period since 6th September this year and befor that I was around 4 months since my last one I've been off the pill for nearly a year at the end of December and had a mc in march. Then I had a period and on the 20th may stopped bleeding from June- Aug I didn't have a period then September I did for a week I've had blood tests and they are all normal jist one hormone is abit higher but doc said it's fine !

I saw doc today and they will send me for a scan he said usually it's 6 months but where i said I wanted one he is going to send me for one
Can anyone plz give me some info on this

What hormone level was a bit higher if you do not mind me asking? These hormone tests need to be done on the correct days; if not the test result is skewed.

I've been where you are and you will likely have an internal ultrasound scan done. This is where a wand (the MN name for it is dildocam) is inserted through your vagina to give the sonographer a view of your uterine cavity and ovaries. It sounds horrible but it really isn't that awful, the cam is lubricated and that can feel a bit cold.

My guess is that they will be looking for a condition called polycystic ovaries; this can cause periods to go haywire like yours have done. Its a very common condition; around 1 in every 5 women have this. It is a very individualistic disorder and does affect women with it very differently; the commonality is the cystic follicles on the ovaries. These can disappear only to be replaced by further cystic follicles. The cause of PCO is still unknown. It can cause problems in conceiving.

Any further questions just ask.

Thankyou so much for you reply it means a lot

I am still not to sure which hormone :/ as they didn't even say and tbh I should of asked but I just didn't but the doctors said it's nothing major and they did 5 different blood tests checking different things like the LH level and the fsh? Or something like that :/ so if there not worried I guess that's fine?

I have had that internal scan done when I Mc earlier this year ... inwas very nervous at first but after having about 3 they aren't too bad I guess lol
When I had my Mc my other half asked if my ovaries were okay- one test they could only see one ( right )as the position I was lying and the second test they could only see the other one ( left) & both said they were fine :/ is PSO something your born with? Sorry I don't know much about it :/ or could it be something that has now occurred since my Mc?
I am hopeful that nothing is wrong as the last internal scan I had was in May 2016 and if anything would be wrong surly they would of said then?

I had a scan as my periods had stopped. Wasn't an internal an internal scan though.

Good luck with everything
