Is there a lower age limit for a Prostate cancer PSA blood test?
How old should our son be tested at if his father was diagnosed with advanced pc at 43?

Dh keeps forgetting to ask at his appointments. Sad
thank you.

prostatecanceruk.org/prostate-information/getting-diagnosed/psa-test

Seems to suggest 45yrs if you are believed to be at higher risk.

thanks idefix.

thats no good if its taken hold by 43 though.

I was wondering what a gp would suggest. Obviously proper answer needs to come from oncologist.

I think that an oncology or genetics referral would be the way forward.
Misread your op and read 73 Blush
Flowers 43 is incredibly young.

More likely to need genetic testing I would think to see if he carries the same gene that would put him at an increased riskFlowers
