Painful Sex

Just wondering how long it takes for sex to be totally painfree after childbirth. Tried it for the first time after 10 weeks and was too sore to continue. Since then have done it a few times and while the situation has improved, it still feels a bit uncomfortable. I'm wondering if it will ever be as it was beforehand. DD is now five months and I'd love to have sex without feeling apprehensive about the pain level each time. Advice and reassurance please!

Depends on the birth and what state you were in "down there" afterwards.
Are you healed??
And also what sort of pain is it? If it's external bcos of birth injury, it's whole dif thing than internal pain, which you might want to get checked with gp.
Was your placenta complete?
Depends on so many things.
